What is CADRE?

Inspired by the Lost Plays Database, CADRE or Co-Authored Drama in Renaissance England is a wiki-style forum for scholars to share evidence and information about the co-authorship – a term that includes practices of collaboration, revision, and adaptation – of extant plays between 1570 and 1642. For information about lost plays, sole- or co-authored, see the Lost Plays Database.

In this beta phase, we have elected to focus on non-Shakespearean drama as we develop and road-test the platform.
